Link Building

Link building is the process of acquiring hyperlinks from other websites to yours. It is surely one of the most important part of modern SEO, but the most difficult to implement. Google starts from an observation: if a lot of people talk about you, it's because you have to be credible in your field.

The strength of the links

Link building is constantly evolving, and today the importance of creating quality links has never been greater. The need to understand and implement quality campaigns is essential if you want to compete and thrive online. The rule of thumb is simple: the more high-quality websites that point to you, the more likely you are to rank well in search results.

Links are separated into two categories:

1. Nofollow links: these are the links that search engines do not take into account in the SEO process. It is for example a link from a blog comment, a message on a forum or on Wikipedia pages. But this does not mean that these links are useless, far from it. They are clickable by Internet users and can therefore bring traffic to your site.

2. Dofollow links: these are the links taken into account in the SEO process. They are analyzed and tracked by search robots in order to evaluate the credibility and authority of your site.

But beware, Google does not like cheaters. And its algorithm is constantly improving to fight them. If a site has only dofollow links, it will interpret this as an attempt to manipulate SEO. If you try to get links too quickly, same thing. If you buy links from spam sites, it’s even worse.

So the link building should look as natural and progressive as possible for search engines. Google is able to recognize the overall quality of all SEO elements and will be able to do so even more in the future. SEO manipulations that work today could penalize you tomorrow. So why not start by doing things right from the start?

That’s why we strive to build link building strategies with an effective mix of dofollow and nofollow links by varying their SEO qualities to look the most natural to Google.
